Empathy is not love forged
It’s innate and always true
Born with us and found within
So sealed by a mother’s kiss
Yet, no love true than friendship
Picked by us, not Gods thereof
Unless compared to Venus
And the primal urge for bliss
Not from any, but from one
Left to knees to yearn above
Without condition or skew
I yell to heavens with this:
The Greeks have four words for love
I offer one word more — You.
