Hot air stifled in a windless chamber
Reluctant pressure has kept my flames drawn.
Fixed atop of wax with a wick that’s gone
With an endless fight that I might claim her
Or until my last flickers remainder
Within shadows of my heart as a pawn.
To live in dark until the breach of dawn.
Or rest eternal in a deep slumber.
Remove the dome that entraps my fire
And let my light no longer be hidden
Burn with passion and burn against the blight
And carry forth my hearts’ deep desire;
A cherubs arrow, a letter given
Signed and sealed with red wax and candlelight.

Longing
There’s something that blocks you to let loose the hotness of your desire.
